"Vices" LP Review
"...Sunshine proves to be equal part blues and bruise his gorgeous slide work particularly on "Two River Highway" and the album's sole ballad "Don't Drag Me Down" is evocative and effective" - Joseph Bosso

My first guitar was a Zimgar electric. From there, I moved up to a Gibson ES-335—because in my head it made me look like B.B. King or Alvin Lee. Then came an Albert King–style Flying V, impossible to sit with, but one I wish I still had. Over the years, I cycled through a Telecaster, a Strat, a PRS Custom, and some great Epiphones—Wilshires and 335s—plus a few others. I traded up and down, but usually kept just one guitar at a time. Eventually, a black 1971 Gibson Les Paul became my main axe, the one I played on countless gigs. In the end, though, it’s not the guitar that matters most—it’s the feel and effort at the right time.

I’ve written and recorded a lot of songs. There was a stretch when I recorded nearly every idea & turned it into a song (check my Soundcloud). Some are better than others of course. The more you write the more you learn, Accidents WILL happen and great songs and personal breakthroughs CAN appear the more you push. Have fun & let the music do the talking.

Coaching guitar players and songwriters from amateurs to pros to help unleash the music in them. Working with Axl Rose (GnR) back in the day, one-on-one, was an eye-opening experience that showed me even the biggest rock stars on the planet need and desire the freedom to create. I welcome the opportunities to help fellow musicians unleash the music in themselves. Every time I do it helps us both grow as artists

"A sensitive, smartass Dylan for aging gutterpunks. Bukowski as a pop star. He has so much genuine article heart, and an effortless ability to lyrically show you these sonic vignettes that are like little indie-films, the kind that don’t get made too often, anymore. He’s kinda like a novelist who plays really badass guitar" ..General Labor
"Gary is an amazing guitarist and mentor. He helped me unlock my guitar playing and songwriting ability. His insight and work with me helped me beyond measure. I'm a huge fan."... James T. Balin
